Tune Inn in June: Owners replaced the entire kitchen before getting the green light to reopen.

Tune Inn Restaurant and Bar, a beloved Capitol Hill dive, will reopen Nov. 4 at the regular time — 8 a.m. — four months after a fire ravaged the kitchen and caused significant smoke and water damage.
The accidental fire ruined the kitchen but spared most of the bar area; supporters raised around $40,000 for repairs in July.
“A couple of deer [tails] over the ladies’ room got a little singed up,” owner Lisa Nardelli said in June, “but my deer [tail] over the mens’ room is in good shape.”
The bar owners plan to recognize the D.C. firefighters who helped put out the blaze with a “thank you” event Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
