Washingtology: 5 favorite D.C. spots

Looking for something new to do this weekend? The new “5 favorites” list is here to help.

Each week, Cultural Tourism DC asks prominent Washingtonians to share places or events that are special and unique to Washington.

This week, Jill Strachan, executive director of Capitol Hill Arts Workshop shares her list. The National Arboretum tops her favorite spots.

Strachan says the Arboretum is “beautiful and full of quiet spots

that you think you've ‘discovered.’ It's hard to believe you are still in the city.”

Go to our Washingtology page to see the rest of Palmer’s top 5 favorite places — and read lists compiled by other Washingtonians.

What about you? Tell us your favorite places in the comments section below.
