Halloween is approaching fast. So someone who works at a cemetery should be a good person to go to for insider tips about life (and death) in D.C.
Cultural Tourism DC, now celebrating the opening of Lift Every Voice: Georgia Ave./Pleasant Plains Heritage Trail, asked Rebecca Roberts to share her five favorite places in its Insider’s Guide blog.
Roberts is program director at Historic Congressional Cemetery. You also might have heard her filling in as a host on NPR and WAMU-FM.

(Benjamin C Tankersley - FOR THE WASHINGTON POST)
Historic Congressional Cemetery is at the top of Roberts’s list. She calls it beautiful and fascinating, adding that Halloween is high season. Roberts says Congressional is strange and creepy and wonderful all at the same time.
