Winter’s unofficial start, Cuccinelli’s rumored governor run, and White House holiday decor (A.M. Buzz)

Happy December, everyone! Here are five stories to start your day.

Cuccinelli set for 2013 governor run? The Virginia attorney general, a favorite of tea party conservatives, will announce next week, GOP sources say.

Big Bo Ho Ho. “Shine, Give, Share” is the White House holiday theme, but the Obamas’ dog is the real Christmas star.

No rush to retire. More than one in five people in the D.C. area who are 65 or older are still working or looking for a job, census data show.

Holiday splurges for all foodie budgets. Scrimping? You can still afford a little indulgence. Tom Sietsema shows you how.
