Mitt Romney’s son to Spanish speakers: ‘Get to know him’

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney’s son Craig stars in a new Spanish-language ad titled “I Invite You,” in which he tells Spanish speakers, “I invite you to get to know him and listen to his ideas.”

Craig says his father is “a man of great convictions . . . married for over 40 years to my mom” who “loves our country greatly. What he has achieved has been through hard work — and it is with that same dedication that he will fight to get our country on the right track and create jobs.”

The ad also promotes a new Spanish-language Web site, juntosconromney.com (or “United for Romney”).

The ad will air in target markets across the country.

It’s Romney’s eighth ad in Spanish. But so far, polls suggest he has made little headway with the Hispanic electorate. A Quinnipiac survey out Wednesday gave Obama a 59 to 30 percent edge with Hispanic voters.
