WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED:

* A Pittsburgh Tribune-Review poll finds former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum tied with former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney for the lead, 30 percent to 29 percent, while former House speaker Newt Gingrich’s support has plunged from 35 percent six weeks ago to 14 percent. The survey was taken Feb. 2nd to 6th, before Santorum’s three-state sweep. Romney also said today that he was “not expecting a landslide” in Michigan, where he was born and raised.

* Jon Huntsman is joining Ford Motor Co.’s board of directors. “Jon brings to Ford’s board of directors extensive global knowledge and experience — particularly in Asia with trade issues — and operational experience gained as governor of Utah, a state that has grown jobs even during the economic crisis,” company chairman Bill Ford said in a statement. 

* Former Alabama Rep. Artur Davis (D) has been discussed switching parties. For now, he’s attempting to carve out a space for himself as a truth-teller to both sides with a new website, OfficialArturDavis.com. The site, which he says brings “a different point of view that does not belong to the traditional left or right,” features his latest columns and television appearances.

* President Obama has shared his campaign soundtrack with you, on Spotify. Chicago is well represented on the 28-song list, which includes Wilco, the Arcade Fire, Jennifer Hudson and (of course) Al Green. There’s also some country but none of the jazz or rap Obama has said is on his personal iPod.

WHAT YOU SHOULDN’T MISS:

* Former Alaska Senate candidate Joe Miller hinted in an interview with Politico today that he would run against Sen. Mark Begich (D) in 2014. “We're certainly keeping our options open with that, looking at that race as a possibility,” said Miller, who beat Sen. Lisa Murkowski in the 2010 GOP primary but lost to her write-in general election campaign. “We really want to be more organized, more prepared for the next run.”

* Ron DeSantis (R), a former federal prosecutor and Iraq war veteran, is running for Florida’s new open 6th district. That’s bad news for former Ruth’s Chris CEO Craig Miller (R), who just announced his campaign for the same seat late last month.

* Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) endorsed endorsed charter school founder Clark Durant in the Michigan Senate primary over former Rep. Pete Hoekstra, who is under fire for an ad that many considered racist towards Asian-Americans. Lee also endorsed Missouri state Treasurer Sarah Steelman today, saying she was the best candidate to take on Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) in a primary that includes Rep. Todd Akin and businessman John Brunner.

* The National Congressional Congressional Committee has announced 21 new “On the Radar” candidates, congressional hopefuls who might make it into the “Young Guns” program. Not all will get that nod, which brings fundraising and campaign help. The candidates are: Marcus Richmond (AR-04), Tony Strickland (CA-26), John Tavaglione (CA-41), Chris Meek (CT-04), Steve Obsitnik (CT-04), Andrew Roraback (CT-05), Adam Hasner (FL-22), Rick Allen (GA-12), Lee Anderson (GA-12), Wright McLeod (GA-12), John Archer (IA-02), Dan Dolan (IA-02), Jason Plummer (IL-12), Kevin Raye (ME-02), Daniel Barry (NC-08), Richard Hudson (NC-08), Scott Keadle (NC-08), John Whitley (NC-08), Mark Rosen (NY-18), Matt Doheny (NY-23), Stephen Sandstrom (UT-04).
