The CNBC presidential debate live blog

It’s been three weeks since the last Republican presidential debate and boy did we miss it!

Wednesday at 8 p.m. eastern time, eight GOP presidential candidates will take the stage at Oakland University in Michigan for a CNBC-sponsored debate expected to focus heavily on the economy.

And we’ll be right there — electronically at least. We will be liveblogging the proceedings beginning at 7:30 p.m. (what’s a debate without a little pre-gaming?) in the space below.

Never participated in one of our live blogs before? We aim to re-create the feeling of sitting on your couch and watching the debate with your friends — if your friends were uber-nerdy political junkies.

Come hang out. It will be fun. That’s a promise.
