Fix Veep Pick ‘Em Contest

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan was only the fourth most popular pick among Fix readers in the Veepstakes pick ’em pool we ran last month.

High-fives all around for the Fix Veepstakes pick ‘em contest winners.

Sens. Marco Rubio (Fl.) and Rob Portman (Ohio) and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty were all favored over Ryan in our informal poll, and no one correctly guessed Ryan would be named to the ticket on Aug. 11.

But, this being a Fix contest, there must be winners and losers. The two closest guesses were from Fix Readers Josiah Miller, who guessed Ryan would be picked on Aug. 10 and an anonymous user who said Ryan would get the nod on Aug. 13.

They’ll both get signed copies of Chris Cillizza’s book, “The Gospel According to the Fix.”

If you didn’t win, don’t worry. You can try tonight to win a copy of the book at the Fix’s “Politics and Pints” trivia night at Capitol Lounge. We get started at 7 pm sharp!
