Jay Leno on a ‘fiscal cliff’ fairy tale (VIDEO)

December 18, 2012

As the White House and congressional Republicans race against the clock to try to strike a deal to avert the year-end "fiscal cliff," NBC's Jay Leno pointed out a timely historical finding on his Monday show.

"In what's being called a stunning literary find, a Danish historian has discovered the last remaining unpublished fairy tale of Hans Christian Andersen. It's called 'Congress solves the fiscal cliff.' It is considered the biggest fairy tale ever told," Leno said in his opening monologue on "The Tonight Show."
