As speculation swirls over the possibility of President Obama tapping American Express Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Chenault to be his next Treasury secretary, NBC's Jimmy Fallon chimed in on Wednesday night with a reason why Chenault might not be confirmed by the Senate.

"It will be annoying when Obama presents his choice to the Senate, and they are like, 'Sorry, we don't take American Express. We take Discovery. Diners Club," Fallon said in his opening monologue on "Late Night With Jammy Fallon."
