Congress: Less popular than Nickelback

Congress's historic unpopularity has become a punch line, with some pollsters testing how the public's opinion of the the legislative body stacks up against other unpopular things.

The following chart from Global Post sums up just how low Americans' opinion of Congress is right now. Root canals and lice each clock in with better marks than Congress. The data is from a January survey from Democratic automated pollster Public Policy Polling:
