The Fix’s Sweet 2016 Bracket Competition: The Elite 8!

March 29, 2013

And then there were 8.

After two rounds and thousands(!) of votes, the cream of the 2016 presidential crop has risen -- with any number of delicious matchups heading into the weekend.

Our favorites?

On the Republican side, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush versus Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is one for the ages -- a matchup between political mentor and mentee that allows us to say things like "the student has become the master."

For Democrats, keep an eye on Vice President Joe Biden versus New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Both men are political animals who love the game.

Voting on the Elite Eight begins now and closes at 5 pm Sunday. We'll announce our Final Four pairings Monday morning. Get to it!
