Giffords group raises $1 million: The gun control group started by former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly has raised $1 million since last month's defeat in the Senate of a measure to expand background checks on gun purchases.
Restarting the gun debate? Senior Senate aides said at least two Republican senators who voted against expanded background checks have approached Democrats about possibly restarting debate on the matter.
