When a football game comes down to the last snap, a quarterback may throw a Hail Mary pass. A politician may try to do the same as an election nears. And if that throw comes up short? Well, let's just say the Seahawks' Richard Sherman showed us what to do, if not what to say afterward.

Politics is no stranger to sports metaphors. But never do politics and sports intertwine as closely as when politicians advertise during the Super Bowl.
