On Thursday, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie went on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon. He did this.

Oh god.

Before he went on the show, people wondered whether he would do this.

Yeah, this seems like the logical option for someone courting 2016 presidential gossip.

Oh wait. He already did that.

Or maybe he'd do something like this.

Or maybe something like this.

But oh no. He went down this route, like so many politicians before him.

He also did his favorite thing in the entire universe. Listening to Bruce Springsteen.

Well, at least he didn't do this?

Here again, is Christie dancing with Fallon.

And it least Fallon made it stop by doing the "This Bridge Is Closed" dance.

Christie (R) did not discuss the George Washington Bridge controversy during his appearance on the show, choosing instead to reenact the Democratic Convention dance. The 1996 edition of the Democratic Convention dance, sadly, was left out.
