The most amazingly awkward Vine of Congressional leaders ever

And now let us thank Frank Thorp at NBC News for capturing the greatest Vine of all time at the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony today.

And there you have it, Congress, distilled to six seconds.  Holding hands and working together is the only way they get anything done. But that doesn't mean they aren't going to be MISERABLE about it. But they are miserable together.

That must count for something.


Speaker of the House John Boehner looks like he'd rather be anywhere else.


Maybe watching sports...

... and prepping for the USA v. Germany game!

Or hanging out with his favorite presidents.

Or maybe he is wistfully thinking of the last time he mowed the lawn.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, on the other hand, looks like a Dementor ate his soul.



Senator Mitch McConnell needs to turn that frown...


... upside down.
