Can Romney break through?

Look at this chart of polling from the Republican presidential primaries from Real Clear Politics.

What does it look like to you? When I view it, I imagine an EKG gone haywire. An entire political party having a massive coronary that has lasted almost six months already.

Tonight’s results in the Alabama and Mississippi primaries may provide some measure of relief. If Romney can break through and win Alabama, he can have a very good night.  But the southern primaries, in particular, are more uncertain than ever, with Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Romney all having a shot at victory, if polls are to be believed. So don't put away the shock paddles just yet.
