Further proof of why Mitt Romney needs to release his tax returns came from the candidate himself Tuesday. In an interview with a local TV station, Romney said that, despite calls from Republicans to release his returns, he will not do so because he fears Democrats will distort them.
Check out the video and see for yourself if you don’t think Romney looks weak. And remember that he does dozens of these local interviews a week, and this question will now be on every local anchor’s list. Romney will be telling millions of Americans, by clear inference, that he has something to hide, and that he is afraid of the big, bad Democrats. Neither is the mark of a strong leader.
