Leesburg Halloween light show is pretty awesome

Halloween lights are starting to rival Christmas lights as an annual event. And in the Edwards Landing neighborhood of Leesburg, the Bullis family is pretty much the champion. Here is their house synchronized to everyone’s favorite Korean rap song, “Gangnam Style”:

Brandon Bullis said he first put up Halloween lights last year, using lights and computer programming from Light-o-rama. This year, he has improved the show and is using 8,500 lights and 250 channels of computer animation. His kids, ages 12, 10 and six, love it.

There are 13 songs and animations, including “Ghostbusters,” ”Monster Mash,” some Black Eyed Peas, and Marilyn Manson’s “This is Halloween,” which you can see here. The music does NOT blare into the neighborhood — you listen to it in your car through a low-power FM transmitter.

Bullis asked that we not print the specific address, so you’ll have to use a little bit of smarts to find it. He also asked that everyone be respectful of the neighbors, not block driveways, keep the radio volumes down and the parking lights on. The lights are on from 7:15 to 10 p.m., though that may get shortened if the crowds get too big. Enjoy while you can, and here’s a Facebook page for the “Edwards Landing Lights.”
