Common’s new album ‘The Dreamer, The Believer’ has upset legendary poet Maya Angelou.
She publicly denounced his usage of the “N-word” on the track, ”The Dreamer.” She called it offensive and was disappointed that he used the word.
Angelou told The New York Post: “I had no idea that Common was using the piece we had done together on [a track] in which he also used the ‘N’ word numerous times.”
