‘Cover two’ turkey chili

The Redskins two game skid causes me to go back to the basics for this week’s tailgating recipe. There’s no better way to get back on a winning streak than to whip up some old fashion chili. Here’s the recipe for my “Cover two” turkey chili.

First, place a pound of ground turkey in your cooking pan over medium heat. Next, cut up some onions, green peppers, garlic, and red peppers.

Once the ground turkey turns a light brown, add salt, pepper, and cumin. Then pour two cans of tomato sauce on your ground turkey and mix together. Sprinkle powered chili on your sauce with a dash of hot sauce. Add a can of black beans and Garbanzo beans.

Lastly, add some barbecue sauce before combining your chopped vegetables. Mix all the ingredients together, and then place in a crockpot on high for 15 minutes. Serve with shredded cheese and an ice-cold beverage of your choice.
