Kid Cudi writes letter for fan who died

Rapper Kid Cudi wrote a letter Monday morning to Ben Breedlove, an 18-year-old fan who died on Christmas day, according to multiple media reports.

Cudi learned of Breedlove after the teenager posted two videos on Youtube chronicling his three near death experiences while battling hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that causes thickening of the heart muscles, which can lead to death.

In one of those near death experiences, Breedlove mentioned a vision in which he and the 27-year-old Cudi, his favorite rapper, were dressed in suits. In his video he said, “he couldn’t stop smiling.”

After seeing the videos, Cudi wrote:

“I broke down, Iam to tears because I hate how life is so unfair. This has really touched my heart in a way I cant describe, this is why I do what I do. Why I write my life, and why I love you all so much… We love you Ben. Forever. Thank you for loving me."
