Robert Glasper releases ‘Black Radio’

Robert Glasper’s “Black Radio” has officially hit the iTunes store , and the track listing alone should have music lovers excited. It’s jam-packed with quality features from Erykah Badu, Musiq Soulchild, Ledisi, Lupe Fiasco, Meshell Ndegeocello, Bilal and many more.

It’s the Robert Glasper Experiment’s first album from Blue Note Records, a New York-based jazz label with Norah Jones and Wynton Marsalis on its roster.

For this reason alone, it would be tempting to shove “Black Radio” into the jazz category and leave it there for only die-hard jazz heads to enjoy, but from the looks of things, it could have wider appeal – iTunes even has it categorized under rock, hip-hop/rap and R&B.

Really excited about this one. It definitely seems worth the download, and it could bring some culture to my music library.
