Greenbelt Labor Day festival, with Miss Greenbelt pageant, talent show, live music, carnival rides and games, art show, food and more. 9:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Roosevelt Center, Crescent and Southway Roads. D.C. Blues Festival, If it’s the Saturday before Labor Day, it’s time for the D.C. Blues Festival. Now in its 23rd year, the noon to 7:30 p.m. bill features the players of the D.C. Blues Society Band and performances by Preston Shannon, Grady Champion, Anthony “Swamp Dog” Clark, Nadine Rae and the Allstars and others.
