At a time when many are thinking about the economy, the subject of jobs is often front and center. Some people are so desperate that their only requirement for work is whether someone will pay them to do it--the same consideration that often goes into getting your first job.

First jobs can determine a person’s salary for a career and influence career advancement. Those starting careers in a recession may find it hard to catch up to those starting during boom times.

What was your first job? And how did affect you? The Post is looking for stories of the real impact of the first job on your career, your relationships, and your life.
