“Wind Me Up, Chuck!” Mondays heading to The Howard Theatre

If Washington were to have an unofficial theme for 2012, it would be “The Life and Times of Chuck Brown.”

The spirit of the godfather of go-go has shone all over the District since his death in May and the Howard Theatre is doing its part to celebrate his legacy with their “Wind Me Up, Chuck! Mondays” concert series. Starting September 17, The Chuck Brown Band will collaborate with various artists who have been closely associated with, Brown. The first installment will be headlined by George Clinton; the series is scheduled to continue on select Mondays through December 17. Tickets are on sale at thehowardtheatre.com.
