GOP debates: All Republican candidates will participate in AEI, Heritage national security debate

The Heritage Foundation has confirmed that all eight major Republican candidates will participate in the debate to be co-hosted by CNN, the American Enterprise Institute and Heritage later this month. Neither AEI, nor Heritage have hosted an election debate in the past.

The debate, which will exclusively focus on national security and foreign policy, will be held at Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Hall and will be moderated by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

Heritage points out that not since the John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon debate in 1960 has Washington, D.C. hosted a presidential contenders debate for national broadcast.

The debate, previously scheduled for Nov. 15, will now take place on Nov. 22.

And for those who think we ought not worry about foreign policy at a time when the country has more than its share of domestic concerns, AEI warns that our enemies care about U.S. foreign policy and so should you.
