Ron Paul’s foreign policy worse than Obama’s, says John Bolton

Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton hasn’t endorsed any of the 2012 Republican presidential candidates yet, but it’s clear there is one he won’t be endorsing: Ron Paul.

Bolton, appearing on Fox News’s “Sean Hannity Show” Wednesday, said that Ron Paul’s foreign policy is “worse than the Obama administration.”

“That’s why I think the debate on the Republican side is so important and why when I see — I have to be candid — a candidate like Ron Paul whose foreign policy is, if anything, worse than the Obama administration apparently leading in Iowa according to some polls, it just gives me great concern,” Bolton said.

Bolton, an American Enterprise Institute senior fellow, who identifies himself as “pretty libertarian,” told Paul supporters, “You cannot live in fantasy land.”

“The rest of the world is not going to leave us alone, and we need a commander in chief who understands that a Ron Paul president would simply not address the challenges we face,” he said.
