RAND names Hans Pung new president of RAND Europe

The RAND Corporation has named Hans Pung as the new president of RAND Europe, a division of the think tank.

“Hans Pung will be an outstanding leader of RAND Europe because of his demonstrated success in research management and his commitment to using analysis to make a difference on the most important policy issues facing European people, institutions and nations,” said RAND Corporation President and CEO Michael D. Rich

Pung joined RAND Europe in 2002 and most recently served as vice president of RAND Europe and directed its new research area development. He will oversee a staff of 80 people between offices in Brussels, Belgium and Cambridge in Britain, where he is based, as well as RAND’s research activities across Europe.

Pung follows Jonathan Grant, who will remain at RAND Europe to focus on his research.
