‘60 Minutes’ pays tribute to Andy Rooney

Sunday night, “60 Minutes” paid tribute to longtime commentator Andy Rooney, who died Friday at age 92.

Rooney had recently stepped down from the show as a regular commentator, with his last regular appearance on Oct. 2. Just two weeks ago, reports came that Rooney had been hospitalized for serious complications following minor surgery.

“Andy was 92 and he truly had a wonderful life,” Morley Safer said during the tribute, calling Rooney “the man who had a special gift for speaking for every man.” Watch it here:
