By now, we all know how Washingtonians feel about zombies (they love them), but all zombie fans will have to wait to see Season 2 of “The Walking Dead” in its entirety.

AMC announced Thursday that the zombie drama will premiere on Oct. 16 as scheduled, with an extended 90-minute premiere. But after a six-week run, the show will take a three-month break and pick up again with the final six episodes on Feb. 12.

In other AMC news, the cable channel announced today that it has greenlit two new reality series. “ Secret Stash,” produced by Kevin Smith, takes place in Smith’s comic book store, while “JJK Security” follows an eccentric group that runs a family-owned security company in rural Georgia.
