While the five still-standing Idolettes rehearsed over the weekend for Wednesday night's Brit Week on "American Idol," the recently-booted Colton Dixon was among those sighted at the celebrity petting zoo that is the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

He was the invited guest of Christian Broadcasting Network

At the Capitol File White House Correspondents’ Dinner after-party, Dixon lapped up the little attention he received at the Newseum’s VIP lounge around midnight, reported The Post’s Katherine Boyle.

“The guy with the Mohawk is famous, I think,” said a middle-aged man near the bar. Even the photographer couldn’t remember his name. “He’s from ‘American Idol’... That’s all I know.”

Dixon, wide-eyed and chipper, seemed oblivious to his relative anonymity.
