‘American Idol’ top 11 perform (again) — will the “save” help Casey?

It’s Elton John Week on “American Idol” — there will be 11 competitors on Wednesday night’s performance show, don’t forget, because the “judge’s save” card was used last week on Casey Abrams, who almost passed out on the spot.

How much good that does in the long run remains to be seen. The “save” has only ever been used twice before.

Last season, Michael Lynche found his “Idol” stay extended an extra four weeks, and the previous season, Matt Giraud got one more week before he was booted out again.
