CBS has renewed its daytime strip “The Talk” for a third season.

Second season co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler will all be returning for the third season. That will differ from this second season, when the show came back minus two of its first-season co-hosts — Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete — and nobody was talking much about what happened.

This past February sweep ratings period, “The Talk” averaged 2.27 million viewers, which is up a tick compared with its average audience of 2.19 million in the February ’11 sweep.
