CW joins on-demand world, will make shows available on Comcast

"Gossip Girl” (Giovanni Rufino - THE CW)
CW has joined the on-demand game — starting Thursday, viewers will be able to watch the CW’s primetime slate on Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand service, the network announced.

It’s the first time CW has made its shows available through a provider’s Video On Demand service. And now, shows like “Gossip Girl” and “Vampire Diaries” will be availble for Comcast customers the day after they air, and also include the four most-recent episodes.

In addition, other shows that will be available include “America’s Next Top Model,” “Supernatural,” “Hart of Dixie,” “90210,” “Nikita,’ “Beauty and the Beast,’ “Emily Owens, MD” and “Arrow,” which recently scored big ratings for the network.
