Television news operations have vowed to use extreme caution in making projections about the outcome of voting Tuesday night, still remembering the mess in 2000 when they incorrectly called the Bush-Gore race — and that report after the ‘04 election declaring the exit-poll interviewing the most inaccurate in the past five presidential derbies.
