CBS has given full-season pickups to the TV season’s two most watched new series: The Dennis Quaid/Michael Chiklis starring “Vegas,” and the Jonny Lee Miller/Lucy Liu starring “Elementary.”

Both new dramas are winning their 10 p.m. timeslots on Tuesdays and Thursdays, respectively.

The 60’s-set “Vegas” is the country’s sixth most popular series so far this season, averaging 15 million viewers.

“Elementary,” an update of the Sherlock Holmes story, is ranked No. 9, with an average audience of  more than 14 million viewers.

At the end of its first season, “Elementary” will have about three times as many produced episodes as has PBS’s Holmes update, “Sherlock” in two seasons.
