Former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez lands job as football announcer

Former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez has landed a new job as a football radio announcer for Florida International University, the AP reported Wednesday.

Sanchez was fired by the network in October after a SiriusXM radio interview, during which he called Comedy Central late-night host Jon Stewart a “bigot” and implied that the media as a whole are controlled by Jews.

Sanchez, who worked for CNN for six years, later apologized, calling his words “tired and mangled.”

Now, the former anchor will provide analysis for the FIU football team starting in September — two of his sons will be attending the university, the AP noted.
