Fox adds nine episodes to ‘Bob’s Burgers’ order

“Bob’s Burgers” (Fox)

Although “Bob’s Burgers” doesn’t return to Fox’s schedule until midseason, the network has already ordered an additional nine episodes of the animated series, extending the Season 2 episode count to 22.

Fox gave the show — about a family (last name Belcher) who owns a hamburger store — an early second season pick-up last April, after it debuted in January.

“Bob’s Burgers” is scheduled to launch early next year in the 9:30 p.m. spot on Fox’s Sunday animation block, and will take over the spot currently held by Seth MacFarlane’s “American Dad.”
