Fox has ordered cement shoes for its “Mob Doctor” in advance of tossing it in the drink.
The press had already figured out “Mob Doctor” is probably not getting an additional order for the so-called “back nine” episodes that would give the freshman drama a full season order — and a future on the network.
On Wednesday came word three of the remaining episodes on its initial order will be burned off on Saturday, Dec. 29; on New Year’s Eve (which falls on the show’s regular night — Monday — but is a night of very low TV viewing unless you’re Ryan Seacrest hosting “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve”); and on Saturday, Jan. 5.
