Fox orders 13 episodes of Kiefer Sutherland drama

Kiefer Sutherland (Charles Sykes - AP)

On the heels of its good-but-not-great “X Factor” premiere, Fox shot out an e-mail announcing it had ordered 13 episodes of a new drama series called “Touch,” created and written by Tim Kring (”Heroes”).

In “Touch,” Kiefer Sutherland (”24”) stars as the dad of a special needs child who, dad discovers, has the ability to see patterns and connections that no one else can.

Of course, Fox had already announced this back in May when it was unveiling its plans for the 2011-2012 TV season to advertisers and to the press in New York.

The news here appears to be that the order on the show is for 13 episodes.
