Jeff Probst’s talk show torch is snuffed

Jeff Probst (Monty Brinton - CBS)
“The Jeff Probst Show” has been voted off the island.

CBS’s syndication operation said late Wednesday it will not continue to produce episodes of Probst’s talker after this first season wraps, owing to lack of viewer interest. Probst will continue, of course, to host CBS’s ”Survivor.”

Probst said in a statement he was “super bummed,” adding philosophically, “The truth is, all shows come to an end — ours just ended a decade sooner than we had hoped.”

The dead list now includes “Ricki Lake,” “Anderson Cooper Live” and “The Jeff Probst Show.”
