Jimmy Kimmel ‘apologizes’ to Bristol Palin for telling jokes about her mom

Bristol Palin was voted off “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night, and as a result, had to make the required stop by ABC’s late-night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with her partner Mark Ballas.

Immediately, Jimmy Kimmel kicked things off with an “apology” to Bristol about any Sarah Palin jokes.

“I appreciate your coming, because I made probably one or two jokes about your mother over the years,” Kimmel said, right up top.

“Yes, I’m here for my apology,” Bristol told him.

“You’re here for the apology!” Kimmel exclaimed, adding, “I’m sorry.”

“No, you’re not,” Bristol shot back.

Kimmel agreed. “I’m not sorry, you’re right.”

“But,” he continued. “But I will allow you to make 48,000 jokes about my mother just to make us even.”

“I don’t know your mom,” she countered.

Sensing this was going nowhere, Kimmel changed the subject. Eventually, he asked whether Bristol might want to parlay her popularity from “DWTS” into a vice presidential run of her own.

“I’m only 21,” Bristol said. “I haven’t thought that far.”
