Late night rivals David Letterman, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert helped boost ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to its second most-watched week in its nearly 10-year history.

Hosting his show from Brooklyn last week, Jimmy Kimmel stood as the No. 3 late-night talk show host, behind only Jay Leno on NBC and Letterman on CBS.

Kimmel’s moving to the 11:35 p.m. timeslot in January, to swim with those two big fish.

“JKL” was particularly proud of having drawn a larger overall audience in Brooklyn than has Jimmy Fallon’s NBC show on any of the six weeks of the new season to date.

Among the highlights of Kimmel’s visit to Brooklyn (his Monday show was scrubbed owing to Hurricane Sandy) Letterman’s visit produced “JKL’s most watched Wednesday ever.

Colbert and Stewart were slightly less successful, handing Kimmel the second most watched Thursday in his show’s history.
