Get ready, ladies — Joe Jonas could be your “celebrity bachelor.”

Fox unveiled the names of the guys it has lineup up for its dating competition “The Choice,” in which, every week, four “celebrity” bachelors in swivel chairs choose from a pool of hotties they can’t see – just like on NBC’s singing competition “The Voice”!
Imagine, girls, discovering the “celebrity bachelor” who has picked you to date is former “American Idol” winner Taylor Hicks! Or “TV personality” Rob Kardashian”!
On the other hand, you might get lucky, girls. It might be Joe Jonas. Or “Jersey Shore’s The Situation — or Pauly D.
These guys are among the lineup unveiled Tuesday by Fox, in Entertainment Weekly.
The morbidly fascinating list also includes model Tyson Beckford, former NFL star Warren Sapp, actor Dean Cain, “Suburgatory” cast member Parker Young, Dr. Robert Nettles – yes the Beverly Hills “facial cosmetic surgeon” who has so much trouble getting a date he’s already enlisted the assistance of Bravo’s “Millionaire Matchmaker.”
Also in the dating pool Fox calls “the world’s most eligible celebrities”: New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski, Detroit Lions Ndamukong Suh, soap star Jason Cook, and Michael Catherwood, aka “Loveline” co-host Psycho Mike.

Cat Deeley
(Mathieu Young - Fox)
Cat Deeley has been signed to host this new “dating” series, which Fox insisted sets out “to prove that love is really blind.” Each episode begins with four celebrity guys sitting in tacky swivel chairs, turning their backs on love and unable to see the chicks looking for a “date with fame,” Fox said.
In this initial “Blind Round,” each celebrity only hears from the dating pool as they share information about themselves. When a celebrity bachelor likes what he hears, he pulls his “love handle,” Fox says, which spins his chair around and brings him face to face for the first time with the chick. If more than one celebrity pulls his love handle, they must battle it out for the chick, and she gets to “pick whose dating pool she wants to swim in” — still Fox’s words.
But that doesn’t mean she gets to go on the date with her “celebrity” of choice. Oh no! It only means that she becomes one of that celeb’s “three hotties.” Over two more rounds of “competition,” the celebrity guys whittle down their three “hotties” to one, who gets whisked off on a dream date and they all live happily ever after.
For one episode, John Does will battle to get a date with a chick celeb; that much-shorter list includes Carmen Electra, model Hope Dworaczyk, 2010 Miss USA Rima Fakih, and Australian pop singer Sophie Monk.
“What started out as a goof ended up being a ridiculously good format,” Fox all-thing-reality-TV guru Mike Darnell told Entertainment Weekly, adding, “The [female contestants] took it ridiculously seriously, like they were getting married.”
