Katie Couric starts warming up for return to daytime TV on Aug. 3

Katie Couric (Evan Agostini) - AP) Katie Couric will start warming up for her return to daytime TV on Wed., Aug. 3, when she guest co-host’s ABC’s “The View” for the first time.

That appearance coincides with the final week of Season 14 on the Barbara Walters exec-produced gabfest.

Last month, ABC, and parent company Disney, announced that Couric, the longtime “Today” show sweetheart who left daytime for the wonderful world of evening news anchoring at CBS, had signed a deal with them to host a one-hour, nationally syndicated daytime talk show, while also working for ABC News.
