Katie Couric on ‘Good Morning America’: Taking on ‘Today,' NBC

Katie Couic’s first day as temporary fill-in anchor for “Good Morning America” was littered with jabs at competitor “Today” show on NBC — the program that made Katie a household name.

But first, her debut morning on “GMA” nearly went terribly wrong when her limo “accidentally” took her to the wrong studio — with camera in tow:

And later, she was assigned to get the low-down on the network’s competition series “Dancing With the Stars”:

Speaking of shots taken at NBC, the show also included a detailed account of Rachel Dratch’s uncermonious dumping from NBC’s sitcom “30 Rock. And after the show, Katie tweeted a photo of herself cozying up to a wax figure of her old “Today” co-host, Matt Lauer.
