Katie Couric tells Leno: ‘Obviously, no one can ever fill Oprah’s shoes’

Katie Couric took to Jay Leno’s late night show on Monday to talk about her freshly announced syndicated daytime talk show, during which she was careful to use Oprah’s name multiple times, as in:

* “It’ll be sort of a little bit of what Oprah did”


* “Obviously, no one can ever fill Oprah’s shoes”

Disney announced Monday that Couric and her former “Today” show executive producer Jeff Zucker are going to do a syndicated talk show for the studio. The show has already been guaranteed a timeslot on all of the ABC stations that are owned by the network, including the country’s three largets markets, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
