Lohan continues to keep Babs Walters waiting; this time she’s picked Dave Letterman

Apparently the timing still is not right.

Lindsay Lohan, who famously stood up Barbara Walters to give an interview instead with NBC’s “Tonight Show’ host Jay Leno last fall, while promoting her Elizabeth Taylor biopic, will stand up Babs again and visit David Letterman on Tuesday, to promote her upcoming guest starring role in the FX comedy series “Anger Management” — starring Charlie Sheen, who famously got sacked off his previous comedy series on Dave’s network, CBS.

Still with me?

Letterman’s publicist noted this will be La Lohan’s first interview anywhere since November of 2012 — which is when she visited Jay — and her first visit to Dave since May of 2007.

The famously troubled Lohan had a scheduled interview with Walters last fall but bailed, telling Jay, “The timing wasn’t right right now,” and “I love her. I’m a big fan of Barbara Walters. I met her when I was very young. And so, when it’s right, she knows she’ll be the first person I sit down with.”

In her more recent diary entries:

* Lohan was charged with lying to police, obstructing an officer, and reckless driving in connection with a car wreck in Santa Monica; police determined she lied when she told one of them her assistant was driving at the time.

* Last December, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge revoked Lohan’s probation due to new charges being filed against her.

* Last month, La Lohan pled no contest to misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and providing false information to a police officer. She was sentenced to 90 days in a lockdown rehab center, 30 days of community service, and 18 months of mandated psychotherapy. And that 180 day jail sentence, in connection with probation violation having to do with another of her many life-trainwrecks, was stayed.
