Washington’s NBC-owned WRC named Michael Goldrick its new vp of news.
Goldrick spent the last three years as news director of the Cox-owned NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh.
He’s replacing Camille Edwards, who joined New York’s ABC-owned station, WABC last August.
Goldrick starts Nov. 26.
WRC president and GM, Jackie Bradford said in Friday’s announcement Goldrick “knows how to be competitive,” noting he oversaw a newsroom that grew to be No. 1 in six of its eight newscast, among the 25-to-54 year old viewers who are the currency of news ad sales -- and No. 2 in the other two.
